Dr. Parameswaran is actively involved in education and outreach activities through the classes that he teaches. He also serves the role of faculty advisor for student organizations such as Engineers Without Borders at Kansas State University. Few of the activities that he is regularly involved includes :

• Site visits to the city of Manhattan's Drinking Water Treatment Plant (DWTP) and Waste Water Treatment Plant (WWTP).

• Participation in week long high school and early career undergraduate training program.
